RELEASE BLITZ + REVIEW: CUTE BUT PSYCHO (Gator Bait MC #3) by Lani Lynn Vale

CUTE BUT PSYCHO

Series: Gator Bait MC #3

Author: Lani Lynn Vale

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Release Date: January 17th, 2023

Synopsis

Etienne LaFayette hits the ground running the moment he breathes free air after being paroled from a maximum-security prison in Texas.

He claws his life back from his brother-in-law who’d taken over his business during the years he’d spent as an inmate at Huntsville Penitentiary. Though it is hard, he puts his life back together in Accident, Florida.

There, he hires new employees, joins a motorcycle club, and becomes wildly successful overnight.

Seems like the perfect life, right?

Wrong.

Because one of his first clients is a beautiful, curly-haired woman that reels him in from the moment he first lays eyes on her. Only, before he can work his charm, she forms an opinion of him based solely on the person that he chose to work at his side, day in and day out. That opinion? Utter disgust.

***

Matilda Deveraux has been dealt blow after blow her entire life.

First with the death of her mom. Then living with a stepfamily that despises her.

Her entire life she’s been known as different. The “weird girl that creeps everyone out.”

It’s not her fault that she’s different, yet everyone, including Etienne’s assistant, treats her like she’s a menace to society.
Like she would be better off in a loony bin than gracing the streets of Accident, Florida.

After years of abuse from everyone around her, the last thing she needs is to be around a man that would have that horrible woman around him twenty-four seven.

As a result, she forms an opinion—something that people do to her all the time—and treats him accordingly.
Only, it turns out that Etienne isn’t who she thought he was.

He’s much, much worse. But only in the best of ways.

4.25  ‘Like Finally Coming Home’ Stars

My, oh my… How these two stole my heart! Etienne and Matilda’s love story is quite a tale… Sweet, steamy, funny and with the perfect amount of suspense, Cute but Psycho – love the title, by the way – hit just the right spot for this beginning of 2023. We are off to a great start!

Meeting immediately after Etienne’s release from jail – like all the other Gator Bait MC members, he was in prison for fighting for someone else, for being on the ‘good’ side of justice – these two were instantly intrigued by one another. Matilda, being the product of an affair, has had a tough time in life, specially after her mom passed and  she had to go  live and be part of her father’s family, and let me tell you, what an awful family it is! Adding to that being neurodivergent, she keeps much to herself, distant from all others, apart from everyone but her best friend ad business partner, Diana. She has always felt on the outside and never truly loved… That quickly changes after they get together, because not only is Etienne fully devoted to her, but she gains a new family in all of Etienne’s MC brothers and their partners.

I didn’t want to be anyone’s responsibility.

I wanted to be their passion. Their first choice. Their main reason for breathing.

She’s mine to take care of now. She’s mine to protect. She’s mine to make sure she doesn’t get manipulated by you again.

Etienne made me swoon, HARD! The way he cared and loved Matilda, that he not only respected her quirks and mannerisms but supported and was always there for her, WOW… Absolutely impossible to resist, and trying she did, lol.

These guys, Gator Bait MC, really are something else! With each book I’m left thrilled, and psyched for more. With all the hints we got from Cassius and Alice, oh boy, are we in for a treat, and I can’t freaking wait!!!!

All your quirks. All your kisses. All your Sunday morning snuggles. I want them all. And I want it in the most permanent way possible.”

It felt like finally coming home.

GOOD TROUBLE

Series: Gator Bait MC #2

Author: Lani Lynn Vale

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Release Date: December 6th, 2022

Synopsis

Bain met Diana, a.k.a. Luce, the night before he was set to deploy to Afghanistan.

It’s not every day that you take your brother’s girlfriend to prom because he refuses to put out the effort.

That night was one of the best nights of his life and the next day, he leaves and doesn’t see her again.

But there are letters. Not many, but enough for them to form a connection.

Over the two-year deployment, they became great friends.

The best of friends—at least, as good of friends as you can be when it’s your brother’s wife.

Fast-forward six years and she still counts him as one of her greatest friends. Even going as far as to stick by him when he’s sent to prison because his own brother turned on him.

***

Luce had a crush on her then-boyfriend’s brother since way before she and Bain’s brother were married. From the moment he volunteered to take her to prom, she’d fallen.

Over the years, she’d tried to hide it. Tried to go on with her life and act like she loved her husband and only her husband. But as time went on and Braxton started to treat her more and more like crap, she realized the truth. Her husband wasn’t Bain. Her husband would never be him.

Hell, that’d been proven time and time again.

The smoking gun, though? The thing that made her realize it was time to leave?

When her husband stood by while she was assaulted, while the man she tried to act like was just a friend protected her. Then was sentenced to eight years in jail for it.

It was time to admit the truth.

Bain McDempsey was it for her. She just had to help him see it. Oh, and get him out of prison first.

3.5  ‘It’s Just Us’ Stars

Ahhhh, the family angst!!! I knew going in this one would be a doozy for me, but LLV managed to make me enjoy the hell out of it, that’s saying a LOT! Steamy, funny and with just the right amount of suspense, Good Trouble was a great addition to the Gator Bait MC!

Yes, the premise itself had some of my PERSONAL peeves, mainly that we have two characters that meet many years prior, instantly had a connection, recognised by both of them conscientiously, but still Diana went off and married Bain’s brother, Braxton – though I understand her reasoning in a little way – but there were plenty of men out there, besides the H’s brother, which raised the awkwardness level exponentially,  and Bain, being the alpha he was, made no sense he didn’t take a stand way sooner, as there were plenty of years before his incarceration, to fight for what he wanted. There was also too many times, the brother not only being brought up between them, but all the drama residing in that was a bit off putting, imo, but wow, it sure amped up the angst, and I believe that was the intention.

The perfect man, for the imperfect woman.

Make your life something worth living.”

That behind said, and  what ifs aside, I’m beyond happy Ms. Vale gave us their story in the ‘present’, starting our insight immediately after Bain’s release. This way we could enjoy their blossoming relationship well after Diana (aka Luce) and Braxton’s divorce. Bain, like all other Gator Bait MC, though being an ex con, so kind of a morally grey character, I loved his fierce protectiveness of Diana, and his moral compass.

Diana’s depression and her struggles really rang close to home, so I got her, in many ways, and was beyond sympathetic with her inner turmoils. That aside, there were plenty of times I laughed in their interactions, not only as couple but also as group, proof once again of Lani Lynn Vale’s addictive writing style. Can’t freaking wait for the rest of the gang to have their stories!!!

You’re everything and anything I could’ve ever wanted.
“This may not be easy, but nothing worth something is.”

THE SCRAMBLE

Series: Single In Seattle #2.5

Author: Kristen Proby

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: November 10th, 2020

There are two things you need to know about me. 1: I’m never late. And 2: I hate Christmas. Yes, I’m a girl who hates the holidays.

My entire, enormous family is already enjoying their holiday vacation in Iceland, but thanks to my busy job and having to meet them there, I’m late. They could have chosen any holiday to fly across the world, but Christmas won, which sent me scrambling because the end of the year is my busiest time. It’s difficult to carve out moments to see the family at all.

So, now, I’m forty thousand feet in the air, trying to get to Iceland before Christmas morning, all while also attempting to get some work done. If only the hot guy next to me would leave me be.

Dylan says I should put the work away until after my holiday and relax a bit. And while his suggestion of spending some time together on the north Atlantic island seems preposterous, I can’t help but feel intrigued when he promises to show me how to enjoy the Yuletide season properly.

After all, I can’t possibly spend every minute with my family.

But how do I just shrug off my duty to my job and throw caution to the wind for a stranger…no matter how handsome he is? Because that’s something else about me: I never throw caution to the wind—even a beautiful, blustery Icelandic wind.

4 ‘My Girl’ Stars

Awwww… What an adorably sweet and sexy meet cute, holiday novella!!! The perfect Christmasy little read! Maddie and Dylan’s chance meeting on the flight to Iceland went from instant attraction to some steamy romance and holiday escapades that were just as memorable as the northern lights itself!

Workaholic Maddie learnt to enjoy life so much more with travel writer Dylan, in this irresistible and addictive holiday themed tale. I loved these two from the get go, I couldn’t ask for a better ‘opposites attract’ love story.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Ms. Proby once again delivered a must read, perfect holiday novella, to leave us even more addicted to her extraordinary writing. And the cameo of one of my all time favourite families, the Montgomery, was just the perfect spoonful of whipped cream on top of this heartwarming hot chocolate of read, so much so that, even though we have magic of an HEA, I can’t wait to see more Maddie and Dylan in all the upcoming Single In Seattle stories!

“Do you always get what you want?”

I tilt my head to the side, thinking it over. “Pretty much. The important things, anyway. And I’ve decided that this is very important.”

3.75 ‘Come Home’ Stars

Awwww, talk about a sweet second chance romance! I’m adoring this Huckleberry Bay gang and all its interesting characters and stories, this time with Sarah and Tanner’s love tale. It’s been a rough one, specially for poor Sarah, but now those times are gone and its all about falling in love again, and truly coming back HOME…

Fernhill Lane is just as captivating, sexy and entertaining as usual staple in Ms. Proby’s addictive writing, a true feel good romance with just the perfect hint of mystery/suspense, which here was spot on, I was super invested in finding who was the villain, lol.

Thought I adore all things KP, Tanner just didn’t feel like all other Proby’s book boyfriends, and don’t get me wrong, because in the PRESENT he SO is, he actually excels at it! I know I’m a grudgeful b!tch, so the trouble is in my mind 100%, but I just couldn’t get over his reasoning for breaking up with Sarah, his high school sweetheart, given her awful family life – yes, I’m well aware it’s a valid and realistic reason! – but for ME, that’s not a Kristen Proby book boyfriend, didn’t feel like something they would do, no matter if present or past, because that led to her misfortune, when all she wanted was to be loved! Sigh… On the plus side he knows he royally screwed up in the past so me more than makes up for it. Her extremely long celibacy, to his in her face past, also left a bitter taste in my mouth though.

But she DID have someone who never stopped loving her, ALWAYS, her girls, Luna and June, how I adored this sisterhood, the companionship, the pure love, and support, wow, Ms. Proby always gives us strong female characters, so this trio is just proof of that, and I can’t get enough, specially after that epilogue, omg, I need June and Apollo’s book ASAP!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

NEVER TRUST THE LIVING

Series: Battle Crows MC #7

Author: Lani Lynn Vale

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Release Date: October 4th, 2022

Synopsis

It’s not every day that someone tries to pin a murder on you and a random girl you just met. But Bram Crow isn’t your average, everyday guy, either.

One second, he’s hiding evidence with the girl, and the next, he has to marry her so a police detective doesn’t get suspicious.

Did he mention that he had a long-term girlfriend at the time?

To say that things didn’t go as planned would be an understatement.

To say that falling in love with his wife, definitely wasn’t part of the plan, either.

Nor was her leaving me when I finally realized she was my world.

3.75  ‘You’ll Have Me’ Stars

My most anticipated book of the series is here and it give my heart quite a workout!!! A true redemption story, and after Bram’s epic grovelling I too did something I never thought possible, gave in and FORGAVE!!!

After all the Crow books to say that my heart hurt for Dory, is an understatement. And that was even before I knew Bram and Dory’s story from the beginning. After we are introduced to Dory’s world of pain, I was fuming at the Crow brothers, and I thought nothing would make me soften to Bram – I’m a grudgefull b!tch after all, lol – and to me he had the battle of a lifetime ahead…

Well, Lani Lynn Vale sure delivered because not only Bram gave everything in, and nothing was off limits, to get his wife back, and earn her forgiveness, but from that enlightening moment, he did a complete one eighty, and was all about her!

And Dory deserves the world that he is willing to provided to her, my heart was in pain for her so many times, I actually cried for her, so to see her having her HEA, was everything I wished for her.

Their story may have been all about forgiveness and redemption, but fear not there was plenty of LLV’s winning formula of suspense, banal and funny moment, and some steamy hot scenes. Who knew Bram had it in him, lol?! The man sure delivered! 😉

FINAL PROPOSAL

Author: K. Bromberg

Author: S.I.N. #3

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: October 4th, 2022

Synopsis

One stormy night.
One hotel bar full of stranded travelers.
One available chair next to a charming, mysterious, and sexy-as-hell man.

There was something about him and our conversation that made me feel alive. That made me feel heard. That sparked a fire within me.

When our paths crossed again, I never expected the stranger to be Fordham Sharpe, one-third of the sinfully rich and ridiculously successful Sharpe International Network brothers. Nor did I expect we’d become partners—fifty-fifty—in a hotel transformation that dreams were made of.

My dreams, anyway

To him, I was off limits. He was my venture partner, and we knew better than to mix business with pleasure. But we had one thing in common—we were both hiding. From our pasts. From unresolved family conflicts. From what really mattered—our hearts.
.
But as each day passed, our mutual attraction became harder to resist.

We agreed to the partnership to prove our worth to our families, but perhaps we’d only prove our need for something else. Each other.

4  ‘Fifty-Fifty’ Stars

Awww… There is no one that can pull at my heartstrings as K. Bromberg, Final Proposal is written proof of that! Sexy, passionate, soul deep, and oh so tangible, Elle and Ford’s story was the perfect bow ribbon to wrap up this unforgettable S.I.N. series!!!

Serendipity at its finest, that’s what this love story is all about for me, and I loved every second of it! A chance meeting, an instant connection, and a fated reencounter are true reader catnip for me, so I was surrendered to Fordham and Ellery from the very first page.

The attraction may have been instant, and the blossoming love was incredible to witness, as were their internal and realistic struggles, specially considering Elle’s deep rooted and devastating past. I could feel her pain like my own, and Ford’s hurt deep in my chest…

Love isn’t enough. Lesson learned the hard way. Love is glorious but fleeting. It hurts. It will cut you open and bleed you dry before emptying every other part of you.

Ms. Bromberg’s gift for story telling, in such a deep and realistic way, always steals my breath. Like the first two books of the series, regarding the other two of this unforgettable triplets trio, I was anxiously curious about the middle brother, and him finding his HEA. Well, Final Proposal was EVERYTHING I could have hoped and longed for. So incredibly real – even in a billionaire setting as it is – their emotion, their struggles,  their battles and their evolving feelings, were so heartfeltingly exposed, and described, I felt I was right there in their shoes.

Being involved in this construction and developing area myself, I can honestly say the author did the detailed setting and premise, not only incredibly interesting, but also realistic, that I felt I was right there in that Inn, as invested and Ford and Elle themselves. A love story to not forget, that’s how I’ll always remember this breath taking romance. Perfect ending in every way! <3 <3 <3 <3

“You . . . you are the biggest pain in my ass and the greatest love of my life.”

RELEASE BLITZ + REVIEW: STRANGE AND UNUSUAL (Battle Crows MC #6) by Lani Lynn Vale

STRANGE AND UNUSUAL

Series: Battle Crows MC #6

Author: Lani Lynn Vale

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Release Date: August 23rd, 2022

Synopsis

The moment he divorced his ex-wife, Jeremiah decided two things.

One, he would never, ever get into that kind of situation again—i.e., marriage.

Two, he would spend more time doing what he loved—baking, riding motorcycles, spending time with the Battle Crows MC, and getting some quiet time for just himself. Pretty much doing the things he enjoyed, that his ex-wife could no longer ruin.

And, months after his divorce was final, he’s held strong.

He hasn’t gotten entangled with a woman. He’s opened his own bakery. And he’s never been closer to his club.

It has to be why he allowed them to have a massive club party at his place, which became the cause of Gracelynn Barry entering his life.

If he’d known Gracie was going to be his employee, he definitely wouldn’t have slept with her.

Yet, there he is, in the middle of an interview, finding out not only was the woman he slept with the most viable applicant for a job he very much needed filled, but that she’d recently broken up with the man he loathed. The second reason he’d divorced his ex-wife. Erich. His ex-stepson.

To say life is simple for Jeremiah would be a joke of epic proportions.

It’s time for him to buckle up.

4  ‘I Want All Of You’ Stars

I’ll be d@mned!!! Strange and Unusual stole my heart, with its quirky, unconventional, and passionate ways! Gracie and Jeremiah are THE bomb!!!

After dozens and dozens of published books, and Ms. Vale still manages to surprise the hell out of me. This story had all the elements I adore in contemporary romance, delivered in the addictive LLV manner, and still felt refreshing and new, in so many ways. Specially these two main characters, both Gracelynn and Jeremiah are so unique and alike that I fell right in for them. Maybe because I identified myself so much in these two book nerds, that love quiet times?! I really don’t know why, but I was beyond hooked in their story, and that climax, oh boy, about wrecked me, because I did not see that coming.

I love a good age gap romance, and Strange and Unusual did it for me big time, the older Alpha, grouchy, protective, and oh so sexy just took it to another level. And that ending… *dreamy sigh* LOVED. IT!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

THE SCANDAL

Series: Single In Seattle #2

Author: Kristen Proby

Who knew that weddings in Vegas were the real deal? I certainly didn’t when I agreed to marry my co-worker while on a bender in Sin City. Now, I need a quick annulment, which means I need an attorney, STAT.

Honestly, with a name like Grayson Sterling, Esquire, I expected an old man in a three-piece suit. But the guy behind the desk is anything but stuffy and old. Tall and sexy with tattoos and striking blue eyes, I simply can’t take my eyes off him, and I have no intention of declining his offer of a date…and more. So much more!

The conversation between us is good, and the man should win awards for his bedroom escapades. I find myself trusting him in ways I never thought I would–until he breaks that trust.

Gray insists he can fix it.

He claims he loves me.

But I don’t know if we can survive this.

I’ll be d@mned! What a way to start and what a way to meet! I loved Gray and Stella from the very first moment and to witness their insane and undeniable chemistry at works, it was exhilarating!

Fight With Me is my favourite of the first gen Montgomery’s – Nate is my top best book boyfriend list all the way! – so to say that my expectations were high for this one is no joke. Well all my wishes were answered because Stella and Grayson’s story was as hot and powerful as her parent’s! Plus we got OTT Alpha daddy Nate, at his most intense best in this one,so double wow….!

The in depth view onto Gray’s family was such a pleasant surprise and I do hope it’s not the last of them that we’ll see, specially his awesome sisters – pretty please!!!

I don’t know what is it about this world, or Ms. Proby’s writting, but I feel so at home with this Seattle gang, and its passionate and caring characters that I could read about them all day, every day. That’s how much I adore them, I just can never get enough <3 <3 <3 <3

Synopsis

Falling in love can be a nightmare…

Piper’s always been aware of Levi. He’s the kind of man who it’s impossible to ignore. With his broad, muscular frame and gunmetal grey gaze he makes a statement without saying a word. But it’s not until her psyche brushes his in an unguarded moment that they both realise: they are anchors.

It’s a shock. Neither Piper nor Levi are used to needing anyone, the crackling attraction between them is making both their demons crazy and to make matters worse, Piper’s narcissistic stepsister is Levi’s ex–and she’s not ok with the situation. The whole thing is like a bad dream–and Piper knows all about them since she’s a Nightmare, a demon with the ability to trap people in their worse memories forever.

Then an old terror appears from Levi’s past–a serial killer everyone had believed was dead. They are cold, ruthless and will stop at nothing to achieve their twisted ends. Time is running out–will Piper, used to putting everyone else first, learn to fight for what–and who– she wants?

HOT D@MN!!!! Suzanne Wright sure knows how to simultaneously surprise and enrapture us! Levi and Piper’s story was as steamy, sexy, funny, action and suspense packed, and addicting as it’s usual in her Dark In You series, my all time favourite PNR. I can’t get enough of these guys!!!

Piper being Levi’s anchor and mate sure was surprising, given she was a new character, but I loved that, just introduced some new freshness to the series and a new dynamic. I wished though that she was also new to Levi’s life, because her being his ex’s sister is one of my PERSONAL pet peeves, but well, if someone could make me love a book aside from that it’s Ms. Wright.

As usual, I DEVOURED this book in one sitting, it’s THAT addictive! Levi is of course, an alpha with capital L, and I adored how obsessed he was with Piper. Yes, I wish he had opened his eyes sooner and gotten with the program, lol, but hey, at least he realised in time all she was to him – His Everything.

Of course I got my fix of this gang, who I adore so much, they are the most kick@ss bunch of all time, so to say I’m dying for not only Teague and Larkin’s story, but also all these intriguing Ancients in Devil’s Cradle!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

RELEASE BLITZ + REVIEW: ON ONE CONDITION (S.I.N. #2) by K. Bromberg

ON ONE CONDITION

Author: K. Bromberg

Author: S.I.N. #2

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: June 28th, 2022

Synopsis

The requirement is ridiculous but simple. Spend two months in Cedar Falls and play the mayor’s games to ensure that The Retreat, Sharpe International’s newest resort, can open.

But I have a history with this small, Montana town. One I’d tried to forget but never could. Asher Wells. My Lavender Girl.

She’d had dreams and aspirations to leave Cedar Falls and make her mark on the world. So why is she still here, standing in front of me? And more importantly, why is she looking at me with hurt in her eyes when I was the one who‘d been forced to leave or else face the damning consequences of that night?

I have everything in life: money, success, an empire to run . . . everything except for one, very important thing. Her.

Fifteen years is a long time to wonder. . . what if. I’ll be damned if I leave town this time without her.

4  ‘My Lavender Girl’ Stars

WOW! K. Bromberg sure knows how to pull at my heartstrings! Asher and Ledger’s love story both surprised me and awed me in equal measures! A second chance romance never sounded sweeter or sexier!

This small town romance meets billionaire boyfriend meets second chance, first love reunion made once again these characters shine, and shine bright. These two really were superb together, their background was so achingly sweet and tender, that I kind of wished for more flashback memories when I’m usually not a flashback fan at all. The way they navigated toward one another so effortlessly just made me swoon at their insane chemistry.

You’re better than the memory of you ever was.

One of the things I adored the most about On One Condition was the fact that the pain and heartache from their past was not dragged away throughout the whole story, things were so beautifully brought up, and DISCUSSED – yes, like two adults, how refreshing is that?! – and moved forward to acknowledge their fated connection, how I LOVED THAT!!!

As always even with one tale as deceivingly simple as these two seemed, the author managed to create such emotionally charging moments that had me crying, with how powerful they were, that made me fall for the complex characters and even their families . Yep, that’s right, I’m madly in love with the Sharpe triplets, and counting down the days to see what’s on the cards for Ford!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

“I think you’re a lot of people, Asher Wells,” he says softly. “I’m pretty sure I like all of them.”
