FERNHILL LANE

Series: Huckleberry Bay #2

Author: Kristen Proby

Genre: Small Town Romance

Release Date: November 15th, 2022

She didn’t think she’d ever come home again.

When Sarah Bitterman left Huckleberry Bay at the tender age of nineteen, newly married to a much older man, she had every intention of coming home to visit. Sadly, she quickly learned that was out of the question.

Until her husband throws her out with only the clothes on her back and finally sets Sarah free.

Coming back to the small seaside town has been the hardest thing she’s ever done. Facing those who loved her the most and think she turned her back on them is almost unbearable. But she needs her two best friends, and she’s longed to make amends with her little brother.

Huckleberry Bay is like the art in her soul. And now she can put down roots and begin to heal.

Tanner Hilleman knew it was a mistake to let the love of his life go all those years ago, and he’s never stopped thinking about her. Now that she’s home, while he’s giving her the space she needs, he’s also determined to make Sarah see that they belong together.

Unfortunately, Sarah’s past has followed her to Huckleberry Bay and threatens to destroy everything she loves. Will she and Tanner survive it? Or will it tear them apart for good?

3.75 ‘Come Home’ Stars

Awwww, talk about a sweet second chance romance! I’m adoring this Huckleberry Bay gang and all its interesting characters and stories, this time with Sarah and Tanner’s love tale. It’s been a rough one, specially for poor Sarah, but now those times are gone and its all about falling in love again, and truly coming back HOME…

Fernhill Lane is just as captivating, sexy and entertaining as usual staple in Ms. Proby’s addictive writing, a true feel good romance with just the perfect hint of mystery/suspense, which here was spot on, I was super invested in finding who was the villain, lol.

Thought I adore all things KP, Tanner just didn’t feel like all other Proby’s book boyfriends, and don’t get me wrong, because in the PRESENT he SO is, he actually excels at it! I know I’m a grudgeful b!tch, so the trouble is in my mind 100%, but I just couldn’t get over his reasoning for breaking up with Sarah, his high school sweetheart, given her awful family life – yes, I’m well aware it’s a valid and realistic reason! – but for ME, that’s not a Kristen Proby book boyfriend, didn’t feel like something they would do, no matter if present or past, because that led to her misfortune, when all she wanted was to be loved! Sigh… On the plus side he knows he royally screwed up in the past so me more than makes up for it. Her extremely long celibacy, to his in her face past, also left a bitter taste in my mouth though.

But she DID have someone who never stopped loving her, ALWAYS, her girls, Luna and June, how I adored this sisterhood, the companionship, the pure love, and support, wow, Ms. Proby always gives us strong female characters, so this trio is just proof of that, and I can’t get enough, specially after that epilogue, omg, I need June and Apollo’s book ASAP!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

About the Author

Kristen Proby_AuthorPic1

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.

During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.

Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.

Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.
