Blake Jennings has always wanted what his parents had: a sweet, simple love that lasts a lifetime. And when he meets Luciana, he knows she’s the one.
Luciana Salazar comes from a tight-knit family that pushes her to follow her dreams. When she takes a job on the Braided Rope Ranch, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with its owner, the dark-haired man she’s seen watching her in town.
Roping the Virgin is over-the-top sweet, with a heaping scoop of sexy steam. Blake sweeps his Luciana off her feet and gives her the life she’s always dreamed of.
Warning: Ridiculous is almost close enough to describe this irresistible short story. Come back to the Jennings farm and pull up a rocking chair. You’ll like the way they treat you.
Because, honestly who can resist a OTT alpha wearing a cowboy gear like it’s his second skin, with equal amounts of dirty talk as sweet and loving words??? Not me, that’s for sure. And just when I thought Blake couldn’t be any more perfect, he drops the bomb about his past (you’ll have to read to find out) !!! WOW
The heroine was fantastic too. Smart, sassy and with the perfect amount of independent and family oriented streak, she was great, but I was a almost bit too busy drooling over the hero, to notice much else.
It’s your own fault! Ladies, you are taking the heroes on the romantic literary world to an impossible high standard, and I’m freakin’ loving it!!!
I couldn’t have devoured this sweet and scorching little read fast enough, and I’m already counting down the days to the next sexy cowboy to land on my kindle!!!<3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Warning: Cage is a rough and growly alpha male with a fierce loyalty for the woman he loves. This story is a wild, twisty ride coated in sugary, Aria Cole sweetness with a sinfully delicious dollop of sexy times drizzled on top. Snuggle in and get swept away with Cage while he’s taking Tessa!
Cage West has spent his entire life waiting for that one special woman to turn his world upside down. As a detective with the local PD, he fills his hours investigating criminals with little time left for much else. When a tip comes into the office about a possible kidnapping at a suspiciously familiar address, Cage is prepared to do whatever it takes to rescue the girl, but when he lays eyes on sweet, innocent Tessa, a firestorm knocks him off his feet. She needs him, and he damn sure wants her–for now, for life, forever.
Nineteen-year-old Tessa Talbot hasn’t seen the outside world in two years. Her stepfather keeps her under his thumb after the tragic death of her mother, convinced she’ll only succumb to all the sins the world has to offer. He’s kept her wildly untouched, and after years of sheltered homeschooling, she’s doubtful her life will ever look any different. That is until one tall, dark, and devilishly handsome detective knocks on her door.
Scared to let him in, even more afraid to turn him away, Tessa makes the decision of her life and decides to trust the man she’s only just met and leave the only world she’s ever known behind. She’s just praying the past won’t return to haunt her, he’s just praying he can save her when it does.
“Can I help you?” The saleswoman cooed.
“Just need a couple things for my girl. Something to complement those pretty green eyes, don’t you think?”
“Oh yes, we’ve got a few options back here that would look lovely.”
Cage wagged his eyebrows at me and nearly had me choking on a burst of laughter. He was silly, sweet, and sexy—was there anything better?
“How about this one?” The sales clerk held up a slinky black number with a deep vee.
“No way.” Cage shook his head firmly. “Something a little less revealing.”
“Wait, I kind of like that.” I fingered the short hemline.
“Over my dead body, Tessa. Saved you once, not going to do it again just because you want to wear that scrap-of-nothing excuse for a dress.”
“Well, this one then?” The clerk held up another black dress, this one with a high neckline and a completely open back.
“Yes.”
“No way in hell.”
“Cage!” I nudged his shoulder before swiping the dress from the woman’s hands and heading for the changing rooms in back.
“Tessa.” His throaty reply followed me.
I turned and cast him one last glance, the fire in my eyes burning bright as a mischievous smile danced on my lips. I ducked into the changing room and slid the latch on the door. I didn’t love the dress—I’d seen prettier ones just walking through—but I loved the way it made his eyes light up.
I stepped out of the dressing room a minute later. Cage’s eyes crawled up my skin, a wolfish fire burning in his eyes. “So help me, God. If you think I’m going to let you leave the house in that, you’re insane.”
“Really? I think it’s perfect.” The smile on my lips betrayed me when I stepped out of the dressing room and did a small twirl. “Don’t you think?”
Silence hung in the space between us. After a few too-long beats I spun, my gaze landing on his.
“Jesus, Tessa. What are you trying to do to me?” His ocean eyes crawled my body, moving up my legs, dancing over the curves of my breasts, and I closed my eyes in shame. Maybe he didn’t like it like I’d thought he would.
I turned and reached for the door of the dressing room, prepared to rip the awful dress off and get out of here. I’d embarrassed myself, and I wanted nothing more than to tuck tail and run.
“Tessa.” Warm fingertips grazed the small of my back, hovering around the curve before slinking up my spine. Goosebumps burned through my body and heightened every aroused nerve I had. “You’re so fucking beautiful, all I can think about is slipping this dress off you. But I don’t want to scare you, Tessa. I need you to feel safe and wanted. I want you to feel loved.”
Aria Cole gives us in Taking Tessa a deliciously modern version of the Rapunzel fairytale. I do love this genre, and she executed it beautifully. I couldn’t get enough of these characters, and most specially Cage! He was one smoking hot Alpha.
This book had even more smutty goodness than usual, and those scenes were beyond scorching, and that coupled with the way his alpha vibes balanced perfectly with his sweetness and loving touch towards her only enhanced completely stole my heart!
After more than a decade of captivity, Cage rescues, guides and supports her through the beginning of her new life, and Tessa couldn’t be happier in her new adventure, and who wouldn’t with this hot and swoon worthy cop as guide and foundation?!
So, if you’re looking for a short smoking hot, sweetness filled, smutty read, with a fairytale feel, get Taking Tessa NOW!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Bodyguard. [Noun]
A person hired to escort and protect another person. Escort and protect. Definitely no flirting, kissing, or testing the bounds of third base.
Dean Foster has nearly two decades experience being calm, cool, and collected. His first gig in his new private security contractor role should be more of the same, but Nashville superstar Liana Hansen blows all that out of the water in one breathy hello.
Liana isn’t sure how she feels about the straight-laced cop shadowing her everywhere she goes, but there’s no denying the chemistry between them. Too bad he insists on keeping his clothes on. And then there’s the pesky matter of feelings. Neither of them likes those.
With only a dozen stops left on the tour, one of them is going to have to bend. Or the other is going to wind up breaking something.
Love on the Run, the fifth installment of one of my all time favorite series – Pine Harbour -, was one of my most anticipated releases this year and let me tell you, it was so worth the wait! If you haven’t yet tried this series, that you chance now, since the first book is for free for a limited time!
Dean Foster is now a retired cop, starting a new adventure in the private security business. A family man to the core, he has been the father figure in the Foster family, and it’s a role he takes very seriously and the center of his life. That is until he meets the enchanting Liana. He is immediately captivated, but deeply engrained safety mechanisms – rooting mainly from the way his father dealt with their mother’s death – make him think he will never have a future with a woman, much less someone as shining as Liana.
He wasn’t good enough for someone like Liana. Not whole enough. Not nearly capable enough of the feelings that women like her deserved.
He wanted to want her. Resented that his brain thought it best to shut down this feeling when it was unlike anything he’d ever felt before.
Liana is a first and foremost known as famous singer, but she’s SO much beyond her image and her extraordinary vocals. At the moment she meets Dean, she passing for some of the most difficult moments in her life. She was literally, reaching her breaking point. So when she is enticed to use Dean’s strength and presence in overcoming her obstacles, she ends up accepting. Of course their incredible chemistry worked as both an incentive and as an on obstacle in their decision. And let’s just say that Dean was so compelled to get close to her, that he couldn’t resist this opportunity, even if unconsciously. 😉
She was radiant, all the energy pulling tight inside her like the start of a nuclear reaction, and as soon as she hit the stage, she turned on that power and blew him away.
Like I mentioned before, their magnetism was palpable from the very first encounter, but once they got in the role of protege and bodyguard, their close proximity, and getting to know each other more and more every day, their initial attraction took on a life of its own, that neither of them could deny…
“You needed this to know how much I wanted you?” He dragged a ragged breath into his lungs. “Let there be no doubt on that score. I want you so much it hurts.”
When they let go of their mental barriers and gave in to their physical impulses, boy oh boy, did they lit up the pages! WE could feel their passion, desire, and skin deep craving for one another. It was absolutely fantastic to see them letting go, and scorching up the whole place!
Her kisses were pure sin.
He liked it so damn much it hurt.
They became each other’s rock, their own version of safe haven, and without giving to much away I’ll just say that Dean soon realizes that life is more that he had constructed in his his mind, and I could not have been happier to see their personal growth and relationship blossoming. I adored both main characters so very much. Their strength, the way they felt do deeply, and the extraordinary inner battle they had to face and overcome, completely blew me away. To me they were , even with their flaws, perfect!
Somehow, she’d cracked through his decades-old crusty exterior and let loose the guy-with-feelings trapped inside.
Zoe York surpassed my expectations and delivered another unforgettable and emotional story that I couldn’t get enough of. It was fantastic to revisit some of the characters I loved so much from the previous books, as was to get an insight of what to come, – specially Dean’s youngest brother Sean because, OMG, that little teaser, Arghhh, I want his book NOW!! – and I enjoyed every second of this amazing ride! I seriously can’t get enough of these families, and these books really do transport us to this small town communities, even when the set is not in the town itself, given the flowing and natural writing style and in depth development of the characters, as well as the relationships. They are just incredible believable in their profound romanticism, within their struggles and conquers, that we really could see witnessing in real life. These are also the reasons for which Love on the Run, as well as the Pine Harbour series are, in my opinion, an absolute success and why I keep watching like an hawk for the next release! <3
“I mean, thousands of people love you. But I…I love you, exactly as you are. Hair in a braid, reading glasses on. I love every inch of you, from the way you worry about your band to the way you sing to the heavens and everything in between. I love that you run like you’re being chased by hell hounds and how you look when you’re concentrating on getting a lyric just right. I love being on tour with you and—”
He might have to be the rock for everyone else, but she was his secret support.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Zoe York is a busy working mom of two young boys, wife to a very understanding soldier, and creator of modern, sexy, small town contemporary romances. Her debut novel, What Once Was Perfect, started the popular Wardham series, and her first military romance, Fall Out, was released as part of the international bestselling SEALs of Summer super bundle.
She lives in London, Ontario and is currently chugging Americanos, wiping sticky fingers, and dreaming of heroes in and out of uniform.
Jaxon Croix is a smooth talker who’s used to success in life. But despite the law firm partnership, showcase home, and expensive sports car, something is missing… until he meets Natalie Gardner. He knows she’s meant to be his, and he doesn’t waste any time going after her.
Natalie fell into Jax’s bed before she knew his history with her new employer. She’s in for a rude awakening when she finds him sitting across the table for a deposition in her boss’s divorce. Knowing her job is on the line, she tries to put the brakes on her relationship with Jax… only he’s not willing to let her go.
Warning: If you’re in the mood for a quick & dirty read with an alpha male who’s a possessive beast under his fancy suits, this novella is for you!
Yeah, Baby is an absolutely delicious series, and Brief Me, Baby fitted in perfectly with the remain books. This story had all the elements present in all the series: fantastic main characters, an irresistible OTT alpha for hero, some spectacular chemistry that translated into incredible sex scenes, and an enrapturing, low angst plot with an ever present sweet component that makes us melt (even when we least expect) ! 😉
The headboard added a steady thumping to the mix as it banged wildly. It was music, all of it. A symphony all our own, one composed by the knowledge that we belonged to each other, that our bodies were made to fit perfectly, to sing in harmony.
Both characters were great, but Jax really stole the show for me. He was the perfect alpha, possessive and protective to extremes, and of course his dirty talking didn’t hurt, au contraire! Natalie describes him in the perfect way,
Jax Croix was a silver-tongued devil.
I loved Natalie’s independent and sass streak, but her constant pushing and running away – don’t get me wrong, I understood her predicament – was a bit to much, IMO. Nonetheless, I really loved them together, and the subplot worked perfectly. From the moment they meet, we could pratically feel the sparks flying, and Jax’s will to claim and take, unstoppable.
“This pussy is mine.” “Made for my cock.” “My hand.” “My mouth.”
He know Natalie is his future and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
Fucking hell. When I got my hands on Natalie, she wouldn’t be able to sit for a week. Which shouldn’t be a problem since I intended to keep her chained to my fucking bed until she was wearing my ring and carrying my kid. Not only was it what I wanted more than anything, but it would tie us together so she couldn’t run from me anymore.
“I’m not asking, sweetheart. I’m telling you. We are getting married.”
The secondary character were fantastic as well, and I’d love to read Eden and Isaac’s story (pretty please, Fiona…). 🙂
Brief Me, Baby was amazing sweet, steamy short read. The only reason why I didn’t give it five smutty stars was the short epilogue. I would love for a bit longer and further along version on it, to completely sate my spoiled epilogue will. I love a more extended look into the characters HEA.
That being said, I am now counting down the days until Fiona Davenport’s new release, because their books sure are the best kind of addiction! <3
I was coming to the realization that there would probably never be another moment when I wasn’t continually falling even more hopelessly in love with her.

“Four days,” he growled into my mouth before capturing it in another searing kiss.
After doing my best to avoid him, I should have tried to push out of his arms. We were in his office for fuck’s sake, but that didn’t seem to matter to me as I melted into his embrace. When he lifted his head, our chests were heaving, and I couldn’t remember why I’d run from him in the first place. My head was spinning, and the only reason I stayed on my feet was because his hands were wrapped around my arms.
“You ignored me for an entire weekend.” His hold on me tightened. “Hours upon hours we could have spent together if only you’d picked up your damn phone!”
Before I was able to wrap my brain around what was happening, he dropped down onto the couch, pulled me across his lap, and spanked me. Bursts of pain spread across my skin, making me freeze up in shock. I couldn’t believe he was actually spanking me in his office! He took advantage of my stillness, spanking me repeatedly. His rasped out words punctuated the pain.
“I.”
Whack.
“Warned.”
Whack.
“You.”
Whack.
“Jax!” I gasped out, attempting to slide my hands over my ass for protection. I didn’t get far before he had both my wrists in his grasp, pressing them against my lower back with one hand while caressing my stinging cheeks with the other.
“You’re mine,” he murmured, lifting me off his lap until I was standing between his legs. “I wasn’t fucking joking when I told you I was going to redden this sweet little ass of yours any time I have to remind you that you belong to me.”
I had no response. None. What could I say when one half of me wanted to climb onto his lap for wild monkey-sex, while the other, more rational, part knew damn well that the moment I left his office I was going to run again?

Ren and Lily start off so innocent, but by the time it’s over, you’re gonna need to hose yourself off. We’re talking two virgins who turn into maniacs. You’re welcome!
The sounds of banging cabinets startle me awake before my alarm can go off. Rolling over to my side, I see I still have thirty minutes before I need to get up. I’d set my alarm a little earlier than I should have because I’m nervous about my first day. I’m going to a new school and have no idea what this one is going to be like. You never know what you’re going to get. Most of the time I can blend in and let myself get lost in the crowd of other students. No one notices me for the most part, but it doesn’t always work.
I should be used to changing schools by now. I think this is the fourth time I’ve moved in the past two years. The schools are starting to run together, but I hope this is the last. Only months separate me from graduation, and only days from my eighteenth birthday. I’ll be able to make my own choices then.
A sound of something shattering in the kitchen followed by a string of curses causes me to hold my breath. I can only hope he doesn’t call out my name. Monday mornings are the worst. Dad’s always coming off a weekend bender, because alcohol seems to be my father’s reason for living. It wasn’t always like this, but it is now.
Taking a deep breath to calm my nerves, I slowly sit up and listen for his movements. Things have been getting unstable lately, and it’s only getting worse. Dad used to be able to drown his sorrows in the bottom of a bottle and pretend I didn’t exist. But recently his anger has been rising and flying my way. I’m constantly walking around on eggshells, waiting for the other shoe to drop. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s the look in his eyes, but I can see it. I can feel it deep inside me, like he’s waiting for me to do something wrong so he can strike out.
But I always make sure there isn’t a reason. I desperately don’t want that change to come. I’m a skittish rabbit in my own home. When I finally hear the front door slam closed, all my muscles release, and an all-too-familiar tension within me relaxes.
I pull myself from the bed and get ready for school. I go with a short button-up blue jean dress with wool leggings underneath. They’re soft and warm and will help with the chill on my mile-long walk to school. It’s early January, and the Minnesota winter is raging. The more layers I can put on, the better.
Looking in the mirror, I part my hair a little to the side so more falls to the right, before putting in a small clip to hold it in place. I make sure the scar by my ear is hidden as much as possible, then I look myself over, double-checking everything. The scar is all I ever see when I look in the mirror. It’s the bitter reminder of the day that changed my world. My mom might have died in the car, but she dragged my father with her into the grave. Nothing has been the same since that day.
Now when I look into the mirror, the scar isn’t the first thing I see. I see my mother. When I was unpacking boxes last night I pulled out a photo album of my parents when they were younger. I look just like her at my age. From my white-blonde hair, to my too-big blue eyes that take over my face, to my front teeth that are a little bigger than the rest, and my small upturned nose.
We almost look like twins in pictures of us at the same age. Reaching out, I touch the mirror, wishing it was my mother. But all the wishing in the world can’t turn back the clock. I spent the first year after she died wishing for so many things. Wishing gets you nowhere.
I wipe at the tear that’s somehow escaped. I miss when I looked in the mirror and I only saw the scar. It was easier to deal with. Grabbing my bag, I head downstairs knowing the mess my dad made will still be there.
Since my mom died I’ve sort of taken her place when it comes to the household chores. I make sure everything is kept clean, the laundry is done, and dinner is on the table before my dad gets home from whatever job he is doing. Normally it’s some kind of security since he lost his badge after one too many DWIs. I don’t know how he can drink all night and still get up for work, but he does it.
I finish cleaning up the shattered coffee mug from the floor and make sure everything else is in its place. I pull a pack of hamburger meat out of the freezer and sit it out on the stove to defrost. I’ll make something with it when I get home.
Bundling up the best I can, I pray that the weather won’t be too bad when school finally lets out. I need to see about finding a job on the weekends. Maybe I can fill out most of the applications online during lunch at the school library. I’ve seen a few small places in town that are on my way to school. I can see about popping in and applying on my way home. They’d be the best bet being so close. Maybe I’d get lucky and could even work a few hours after school, making it home before Dad.
Dad will never go for me working through the week if it means no dinner on the table, but the weekends he seems okay with. I’ve been pooling every penny I can and saving it away. I feel like time is running out and I need as much money as I can get to try and get a place of my own. I want to be able to afford college next year and to put a roof over my head. I have to get out of here. I can’t watch my father kill himself. I already watched my mother die.
OMG!!!! Talk about knocking it out of the park!!! Yes, just when I thought I couldn’t love these authors more, Alexa Riley managed to leave me speechless… They completely knocked me out on three fronts! First and biggest, everyone who knows me, knows that YA is definitely not one of my fav genres, and that I tend to stay away from me, but this book, and specially this hero, blew my predefined ideas, because it really made forget that I was reading this genre, and for the very first time, I’m adding a smutty YA to my ALL time favorite list! Secondly, as you know, I devour everything AR, and couldn’t be a bigger fan, but Shielding Lily and mainly Ren managed to push ahead of so many of my AR favs, and make it to my TOP 3 (not leading because that is reserved to the amazing EFH, our Christmas present)!!! And last, but not least, you know how I’m a sucker for virgin heroes, so how could I resist this trope executed in the most perfect of ways, and combined with another of my all time favorites, each-others-one-and-only, it was PERFECTION in writing!!! Really, melting into a puddle from start to finish! And I can’t finish without mentioning this, but you know how KA is know for her amazing and fulfilling epilogues, right? Well, these ladies manage to live up to those and then some! I couldn’t ADORE them more!!! Yes, completely fan-girling right here, and they most certainly deserve all the credit and SO much more!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Camille, however, is costing me lots of thoughts. Inappropriate thoughts. Painful thoughts. Annoying thoughts.
I can behave as professionally as I like, but my cock and all other vital organs aren’t playing along. Resistance is key. Being sensible is paramount.
All the pushing and dodging away is hard to keep up on both ends, specially given that they’re together and in contact 24/7, even more so when they start to unveil the other’s true personality, and what they both hide behind their well put together facade. When they do, they are even more attracted than they were together, because they complement each other perfectly.
My eyes are heavy, and my heart is full of hope.
Hope that I never encounter Sebastian Peters again. And hope that Jake Sharp stays with me forever to ensure it. To protect me from him. From everything.
I’ve never felt so certain or so desperate in my life. I want him—this cryptic, unfathomable man. I want him with every fiber of my being.
Of course with this new discoveries, their already epic attraction, that was set to explode at some point, took only a small physical touch to break through in a way, that there was no more coming back for them. They were completely lost to each other, and nothing else existed.
I’ve never felt a connection so intense that I can physically feel it. It’s no distraction. It’s no means to an end. It’s tangible. It’s pulling at every one of my muscles and stabbing at every inch of my naked skin. I’ve never felt so absorbed by a woman that she makes me want to sacrifice my soul in her honor.
I’ve never felt this. Never.
Many words are trying to wrestle their way into my twisted mind, but only one is making it through.
Mine.
And it was an hold no barriers explosion! One of vulcanic proportions, that will surely leave you weak kneed and panting. That’s how crazy HOT they are together!
From that point forward there was no more denying their true feelings, and they gave in to all the lust and passion in the most delicious and steamy ways, with some scorching sex scenes and interactions. We could literally feel the sparks flying when they were together – it was enough to be in the same room. Jake really let it all show and his possessive, protective, OTT Alpha couldn’t have shone more through. And I loved every second of that, how he wasn’t afraid to show how crazy he was when it came to Camille.
“Does it swallow you up like it does me?” he asks quietly, unmoving above me. “Does it consume you so much you think you might never break free?” He rises to his elbows, taking his time, until he’s gazing down at me, looking almost confused. His handsome face is clear, his gorgeous eyes twinkling. “Tell me you feel the same. Tell me I’m not alone.”
Yes, he did get on my nerves in the beginning, with his arrogance, cockiness (specially in the regards of his sexual past and confidence) and asshole and standoffish attitude towards Cami. But when he gave in, OMG! he made me fall in love with him along with Camille. I loved his brand of crazy obsessed with her. They had these fantastic steamy moments, where he made me fan myself with his possessiveness and dirty talk, but also had the most amazing tender and loving moments, where he showed her how precious she was to him, that had me swooning… WOW!!!
“You calm me, regardless of the fact that you’ve actually made my life the most chaotic it’s ever been. You’ve found me, despite the fact that I never wanted to be found.” I grab her hands and squeeze, desperate for her to understand the depth of impact she’s had on me. She looks stunned but calm. “You’re the missing piece I wasn’t looking for, angel. And now I’m scared of being incomplete again. I’m so scared of being without you.”
Doesn’t that just make you melt? I couldn’t get enough of these moments, where he truly showed her what she meant to his, that she really was his angel. That she saved him from the darkness and despair.
And of course that this ‘perfect imperfection’ of Jake isn’t surprising, given that we are talking about a story written by Jodi Ellen Malpas! She is, after all the creator of the Lord of the Manor, Jesse, and who could forget that character? I certainly never will! And after reading this story I have to say that Jake is close to that unforgettableness, given some personality similarities, like the crazy possessiveness and obsession (not quite on Jesse’s level, LOL) as with their unquestionable love for their ‘angels’.
Like I mentioned before I enjoyed this story immensely and loved all the characters – specially Jake and Camille – and the pace and development of the side plot and the unveiling of the mysteries. I would have rated it higher if not for that nerve touching details on Jake that I referred before, and for the lack of true epilogue. I wanted more about their future, and what happened to them further along, specially given that it’s a standalone.
Nonetheless I LOVED this story, which was one of my most anticipated releases this year, and JEM sure did not disappoint! After this I can only count down the days and be on the look out for her next release, because I have no doubt that from her creative hands it will certainly be something delicious – specially the Hero!!! <3
“Home.”
“Where’s home?”
“Where do you want it to be?” He looks across at me, keeping his face blank, waiting for my reply.
“You’re my home now,” I tell him. “Wherever you are, that’s my home.”
“What is your thing?” “You.” That’s easy. “You are my thing.”

British talent Jodi Ellen Malpas sold hundreds of thousands of e-books of her passionately erotic trilogy This Man before landing a major US publishing deal and sailing straight to the top of the New York Times bestsellers chart in a few short months. Success quickly followed in the UK, with thousands of readers falling head-over-heels for the devastatingly handsome Lord of the Manor Jesse Ward and his feisty counterpart, Ava O’Shea, as all three books became major Sunday Times bestsellers. This was followed by further success with her second series One Night, which introduced the irresistibly enigmatic M.
Jodi was born and raised in the Midlands town of Northampton, England, where she lives with her two boys and a beagle. She is a self-professed daydreamer, a Converse and, mojito addict, and has a terrible weak spot for Alpha Males.
Apple “Core” Drew needs The Uncertain Saints MC like he needs air. He is barely making it through the day, and each one that goes by takes him closer and closer to hell. Literally, not figuratively.
He’s a half breath away from killing himself—maybe not by taking his own life, but he’s not against making someone else do it for him. Then he meets her. One of his club member’s sister, and his whole outlook on life changes.
And not for the better.
Just as surely as he ruined his life, he ruins her life, too. One lapse in judgement on his part, and his one night of happiness turns into the worst nine months of his life.
Which he would’ve thought was damn near impossible with the things he’s done and seen.
She never saw it coming…
It was the beard. The beard made her do it.
That is a good excuse for having sex with a man she barely knows, isn’t it?
Yeah, who was she kidding? It wasn’t the beard. It was the way he looked so dejected and solemn. The sad look in his eyes pulls her in, and the way his rough hands touch her makes her stay.
All she wants to do is take that look out of his eyes, but the consequences to her actions only make things worse, not better. One day is all she gets, and he’s not willing to give her more.
“Your brother’s gonna kick my ass you know,” I said.
“Why?” she asked.
I snorted.
“A, because he doesn’t like me. Two because he doesn’t like me,” I explained seriously.
“My brother’s suspicious,” she amended. “And he doesn’t hate you. If he hated you, you’d be treated like my brother.”
“And how’s that?” I asked in confusion, crossing my arms over my chest.
“Like a common criminal,” she expounded. “Ridley keeps him under surveillance, and he doesn’t get to come around me, him, or any of the club members.”
“Hmm,” I started walking faster. “Interesting.”
She nodded.
“He’s not here,” she informed me.
“Okay,” I said, my eyes following the movement of her finger as she brought one manicured finger up to her mouth and bit lightly on the nail.
“Do I have to spell it out for you?” She lifted her brows, her finger still rubbing lightly across her bottom lip.
I rebalanced my weight on both feet as I readied myself for whatever was going to come out of her mouth next.
I wasn’t disappointed. It was quite shocking, to say the least.
“I want you to fuck me,” she said.
She didn’t lead up to it or anything, just blurted that shit out there.
Which might’ve been why I couldn’t think of anything to say to that.
“I’m…” I hesitated.
“You’re a pussy,” she said, brows raised.
My eyebrows lowered.
“That’s certainly not what I was going to say,” I informed her. “Which you would’ve known had you not interrupted me.”
“Most people finish their sentences in a timely manner,” she said stiffly.
She was getting pissed.
Interesting.
“Desperate much?” I asked her. “You have to proposition guys that don’t want you in an attempt to get what you want?”
Her mouth dropped open in affront.
“You’re shitting me right now, aren’t you?” she asked, hurt evident in her voice.
“Yes,” I said, contrite. “But you surprised me is all. And I’m not a pussy.”
“Well, what are you?” she asked primly.
“Honestly?” I asked.
She nodded.
“Yes.”
“I’m trying to get into a club that my father thinks’ll be good for my PTSD and anger management,” I answered. “And to do that, I need to not piss off the members; for example, your brother.”
Her mouth thinned.
“My brother’s already let you know that he doesn’t like you. What’s sleeping with his sister going to change?” she challenged.
I paused, unsure how to answer that.
“Well…” on one hand she was correct. He wasn’t going to hate me any less if I slept with his sister.
And I did find her attractive.
Extremely attractive.
She was gorgeous.
And I’m not talking in a girl next door kind of way. I’m talking about a ‘keep her locked down in baggy pants and a sweat shirt’ kind of way and still beat the men off with a stick.
She’d be hell on the heart, that was for sure.
Her long, black curly hair came to about mid back, and her porcelain white skin seemed almost luminescent under the light of the moon.
She had long legs that looked fucking superb in those tight jeans she had on, not to mention the black Jack Daniel’s t-shirt she was wearing, cut up in that fashion that women seemed to like now-a-days, was only accentuating her curves.
And what little denial I tried to hang on to by the tips of my fingers slipped away, leaving only one thing in my mind.
I couldn’t pass this opportunity up.
Not after I’d been lusting after the woman for so long, even though she didn’t know that.
“You really want this?” I asked her, crowding her so close that she started backing up out of reaction.
She licked her lips, and then nodded.
“Yes,” she said surely. “Or I wouldn’t have brought it up.”
“You know who I am?” he asked. “You’re not intoxicated and asking for things that you shouldn’t be asking for in this condition.”
She laughed in my face.
“Oh, honey. Now you’re just trying to think up an excuse to back out, aren’t you?” she glared.
Bad Apple let us into Apple and Kitt’s story, and it’s quite a ride…
They are both broken souls, each in his/hers own way, but when they meet something special happens, and they soon realize it, but also fight it. Sure, they give in to their physical attraction, but letting themselves go and trust, is a whole new matter. But they were also aware it was near to impossible mission.
She’d be hell on the heart, that was for sure.
She may want just a one night stand, but I wasn’t one to fool myself. This, what we had, was explosive.
Apple is the prospect of the Uncertain Saints, it comes with tasks and rules he’s not so kin of, but it’s the only thing that gives in him some sort of escape from his severe PTSM and an unforgettable and horrific event that happened in his past that doesn’t allow him to move on and live a normal life, or look forward for the future, sadly the exact opposite. That is until he meets Kitt. She really brought a new light into his life, the problem is how deeply engrained his trauma and scars have buried themselves in his mind.
But as I saw the bags under his eyes, I realized then that his wounds weren’t superficial. They were deep, and they wanted to hold on and dig deeper. And he’d been letting them fester.
Kitt is not with her own brand of problems. The fact that she’s the sister of one of Apple’s Uncertain Saints brothers, Ridley, may seem like the biggest obstacle for her and Apple’s involvement, but it that is only a small part of the problem, on her hand. Kitt suffers from a very particular and dangerous health condition, which she keeps under wraps, as much as she can, but that it that’s her brother’s overprotectiveness to a whole new level. But she doesn’t let that get in the way of her fighting for something she wants, and when she realizes that Apple his her future, she sure as hell is prepared to fight.
But one thing was for certain. Over good food and lots of laughs, I fell deeply in love with Apple Drew.
And it sure is a rocky road! After their two times together and while Apple is already pushing her away, they find out she is pregnant (which is not the ideal situation in her condition), and that takes their situation a whole new level of problems and misunderstandings, which makes them both suffer immensely.
Because that was exactly how the next couple of months went. Misunderstanding after misunderstanding.
I loved both characters so much! Sure, Apple really made me mad multiple times with is long lasting pushing away, but I understood why, and putting things in his perspective, he really didn’t see a way to get out of his own head and dark thoughts. What made me forgive him and swoon was his complete devotion to Kitt, even while apart. I will not reveal too much, but he really was there for her throughout the whole pregnancy and heath problems, even if from the distance in most of the times. But I never doubted she was the center of his world, and how much he loved her.
“You smell good,” he growled. “And the answer to what’s gotten into me, is you. You’ve gotten into me. I can’t stop thinking about you. Your laugh. Your smell. Your taste. Your sense of humor. The way your eyes light up when you experience pleasure. Fucking everything about you has gotten into me, burrowed deep under my skin and won’t let me go.”
Kitt is an awesome character on her own. Sassy, smart and completely kickass! She doesn’t let her health condition restrain her, and that’s exactly how she faces life, completely head on! I adored that she fought for what she wanted, and that she never gave up on her biggest fight, for Apple and their love and life together. To bring him to the light! Because she couldn’t be more right, she was the only one who could do do it. They were, after all, soul mates.
“But not a day has gone by, since I met you, that I haven’t thought about you. In fact, it would be safe to say not a single day has gone by where I haven’t thought about you several times. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve wished you were there holding me at night. I’m damn tired, too, of fighting what I feel for you, and I honestly don’t want to do it anymore. I’m fucked up. Beyond fucked up. You’re fucked up. Apple, why can’t we just be fucked up together?”
I had no doubt that they belonged together, and if you take into consideration what her bodies were telling them all that time, they were meant to be. They really were explosive together, the sex scenes were scorchingly hot and Apple sure had a deliciously dirty mouth on him… SO HOT!!!
“I want to fuck you,” he whispered. “I want to bend you over that dresser, then shove my cock so far into your pussy that you feel it in your throat.”
“I wish I could have my mouth on you and cock in you at the same time,” he growled. “Taste you while I felt you around me all at once.”
And those funny – hilarious, actually – rollling in the floor laughing moments?! Fantastic! Lani really is able to integrate the most assorted and end of the spectrum moments PERFECTLY, throughout the amazing development of the story and characters. One thing is always guaranteed, you will NEVER get bored reading one of her books! Yes, she is that spectacular!
“Does being your old lady come with a ring?” She batted her eyes sweetly. I smiled at her. “Fuck yeah it does,” I said. “I have some chicken rings at my place we can cook up for dinner.” She slapped my arm in affront. “That’s not what I meant, and you damn well know it.”
I absolutely loved this story – with Lani, I always do – and couldn’t devour it fast enough. The only issues I had, hence not the five stars were that Apple’s pushing away took, in my opinion, far too long, with created an too extended dark period of pain and suffering, in their behalf, in the book. The second point was the small OW drama (not even sure that is the correct word, given the small relevance), which definitely was not relevant or necessary for this amazing story. They had already too much problems to deal with, and since it had barely no impact, I didn’t see the point in them. Apart from those minor issues, I really adored this two, and it was amazing to revisit the rest of the gang, and oh boy, I can’t wait to read Ridley’s story!!! Lani, you are such a teaser!!! I’m normally not a big fan of the dead spouse lover, but I seriously can’t wait to read DIRTY MOTHER. November 3rd, can’t come fast enough!!! <3
“I love you. I love you when you’re you. I love you when you’re not you. I love you when you’re sick. I love you when you’re healthy. I’d take care of you even if you were a quadriplegic. You’re it for me, and I’m it for you. Got it?” I whispered. She still didn’t answer, but I wasn’t worried. She’d come back to me. And when she did, she was mine. Forever.

Scared to lose her heart again, Charlie tries to avoid the sexy, stubborn Irishman that’s hijacked her thoughts, but Liam makes himself damn hard to ignore. One taste of her won’t ever be enough to satisfy the hunger she’s awakened and he is determined to show her what she’s missing. She’s holding the key to his forever and he won’t ever give up on chasing Charlie.
“I’m not sure how they raise men in your country, but here, you should look a woman in the eye when you speak to her.” Her eyes gleamed with some sort of flirty challenge.
“I apologize,” I growled, discarding the box of bottles at my feet and lunging across the small space between us.
Her hands were in my hair, her thigh hooked around my waist. Now she felt my cock, hard and pounding between us and pressed against the seam of her skirt, the very goddamn place it’d been itching to be all night.
“You’re an Irish bastard,” she said as her teeth nipped at my bottom lip.
My hands clawed at her arse before I hoisted her on my hips and pressed her against the metal shelves behind her.
“Looks like you’ve got a thing for bastards then.”
I nipped at the tender flesh beneath her ear before laving my tongue up the line of her throat. A low whimper fell from her lips and landed a sucker-punch to my balls. My hips worked against her body, my hands roaming her torso and teasing at the neckline of her top.
“Jesus, I want to taste you.” I trailed my tongue across the swell of one breast. Her fingers thrust in my hair as a tremor pulsed through her body. “I want to see what you’re wearing under this hot little skirt.”
I fisted at the tight skirt, desperate to shove my hand beneath her panties and coax that soft, wet pussy to an orgasm with my fingers. And then my tongue. God, how my tongue ached to taste every inch of that perfection. I was going mad with the thoughts of how she would taste.
My hand found its way beneath the elastic of her panties, my fingers soaked instantly by her silky juices. I nearly came in my pants from just a single touch. I slid another finger through her hot lips and circled her clit slowly with my thumb. Breaths shuddered out of her body, her nipples hardening even further. Without a second thought, I pulled the low neckline of her top down, the creamy round flesh of her breast spilling out of the cup of her bra. I tugged the lace out of my way with my teeth, and finally, my lips attached to the dusky pink bud. I drew out the delicate flesh in slow, torturous sucks.
Soft mewls fell past her perfect pink lips as I worked her soft body. I couldn’t wait to hear her come, my name biting past her lips as I pushed her to a mind-blowing orgasm.
“Christ, you feel this good in my hands. I can’t wait to taste this sweet pussy.”
“Irish,” she sighed, her eyes falling closed when I pressed my thumb to the bud of her clit, applying pressure until her nails cut into the skin at my shoulder and her head fell back against a box.
“Name’s Liam, beautiful, and I can’t wait to hear you scream it from the rooftops.”
Chasing Charlie is my favorite Aria Cole’s book so far!
Charlie is sassy, beautiful, and smart and adores her family, even when they are a pain in her ass, lol!
Liam is a hot Irish aristocrat that is trying to pass unnoticed and enjoy the anonymity and simple life. That is, that’s his goal until he meets Charlie! Them his aim taking a whole different target and dimension! And he’s not one to give up easily. He will fight for what he wants with everything he’s got, and in this his Irish charm dies come in handy! 😉
Loved both characters and specially Liam’s OTT possessive and alpha thoughts on Charlie! He was absolutely perfect, because even with this cavemanish desires he treated her like something precious, so sweet!
And that epilogue… Wow… <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

He’s been alone for years. Marooned on a deserted island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, he long ago let go of the pleasantries and mannerisms of civilization. He’s become a savage, driven by instinct and impulse—more animal than man. Then she washes up on his island, and everything changes. Her survival becomes more important that his. Her needs more essential than his own. Her pleasure more imperative than his. This woman becomes his whole life. Not because she’s the first woman he’s seen in years, but because she’s the one he’s spent his whole life waiting for. But will she feel the same? Will she be able to bring the man back from the savage? Or will she bring even more of the savage out of the man? Either way, this tropical island’s about to get even hotter.
“Make love to me,” I whispered, slowly wrapping one finger at a time around his erection straining through his loincloth. It was the first time he’d let me touch him like this, and feeling his arousal in my palm spurred my own into uncharted territory until I was consumed by my need. His head fell back when I stroked him. “Right now, after everything”—he spoke as though each word were a chore to utter, his forehead creasing deeper with every slide of my hand—“I couldn’t make love to you the way a woman like you deserves.” Instead of disappointing me, the prospect of the alternative made my need grow. “Why not?” His arms fell back, his hands curling into the sand like he was trying to get a good grip as my touch became stronger. “I’ve been alone for years . . .” He thrust his hips when I circled his head with my pinkie. “I’ve been fantasizing about you for weeks . . . I couldn’t make love to you the way you mean.” I needed to feel him, flesh to flesh—I needed to feel his steel sliding against the soft flesh of my palm. Working the ties of his loincloth free as quickly as I could, I let it fall to the sand, exposing his body. “Then what would you do to me?” My teeth sank into my lip as my eyes dropped to his manhood. Everything about him was large and male. Every part of him made me feel sick with want. “What have you been fantasizing about?” Unable to stare without touching any longer, I moved my hand back to his straining cock, drawing a moan from both of us. “I’ve lived as a savage for years. I’ve lived an existence more animal than human. That’s the way I want to take you.” His eyes clamped closed as I stroked him. “I want to throw you onto all fours, shove between your legs, and fuck you until you can’t walk. I want to come inside you until I can’t come anymore and every last seed in my body is swimming in yours. I want to mate with you. I want to breed you. I want to mount you and make you scream my name while I take your body again, and again”—something dark flashed in his eyes when they opened, his cock throbbing in my hand—“and again.” I wasn’t sure when I’d stopped breathing, but I had. I was so wet from his words and feeling his cock in my hand that it was running down my legs. “Then what are you waiting for?” Glancing at the ground behind me, he lifted his chin. “I’m waiting for you to get on all fours and show me you want the same.” My nipples hardened at the rumble in his voice. Letting go of his cock, my hands slipped under the shoulders of the coat, slowly letting it fall down my arms. When Grant’s gaze dropped from my face, his throat bobbed as he roamed my chest. As his eyes dropped down my stomach, landing on my pussy, the corners of his eyes creased. I looked down with him, unable to miss the glistening wetness coating my body down there. The ache to feel him moving inside me became too much to bear. Turning around, I slowly lowered onto my hands, digging my knees into the cool sand. Behind me, Grant’s breaths were ragged as I heard him stir from his position. He didn’t touch me as he moved up behind me, making me feel like I was choking on my heartbeat. “Make sure this is what you want.” “Why?” I panted, tipping my hips up higher, needing him to sheath himself inside me before I passed out. “Because once I have you, I’m going to want you again right after. And again right after that.” His palms drilled into the meat of my backside, kneading me roughly. “You give me your body now, you’ll give it to me again. Whenever I ask you to. Whenever I feel my cock stir, it will be your body that sates it.” One of his hands skimmed down my ass, pausing outside of my opening. He grunted when he felt fresh wetness spill from me. “I’ve been patient for a long time. Let me mate with you like the animal I’ve become, and I’ll never be patient again. Are you sure you’re ready for that? Are you sure you know the magnitude of my need?”
Wow, just wow! This book…
Savage is like if Tarzan and Castaway combined and turned in to a PERFECT little smutty read!
Jane (appropriate, right? LOL) as been trying to escape her lonely reality in the city, and looking for something more, so when she survives – is rescued – from her sinking boat, by a savage looking beast of a man, things sure start to get interesting.
They attraction was immediate, as was his caring and devotion, and with that and feeling safe in his arms, for the first time in her life, Jane felt the loneliness go away…
It wasn’t the feeling of coming home. It was, for the first time, feeling what could be home.
He may have been a mute savage, but he took care of her like no one else ever did, even her pleasure, without wanting or asking for anything in return. But when one day, his speech comes back, after years of isolation and loneliness, she doesn’t take no for an answer, and pushes him to reveal his true nature and desires, until his control, simply breaks…
“I don’t want you to control what happens next,” I said, slipping the first button free. “I don’t want you to control yourself around me any longer. I don’t want the educated, civilized man I know now you are.” My fingers weren’t trembling any longer as I undid the second button. “I want the savage, uncivilized man who saved me from the ocean and grunted mine into my ear.”
And oh, boy, was he a surprise!!! Once he let out his desires and spoke of them, I’m surprise that the palm trees didn’t burn with his smoking hot sexual nature and his filthy mouth!
“I want to throw you onto all fours, shove between your legs, and fuck you until you can’t walk. I want to come inside you until I can’t come anymore and every last seed in my body is swimming in yours. I want to mate with you. I want to breed you. I want to mount you and make you scream my name while I take your body again, and again”—something dark flashed in his eyes when they opened, his cock throbbing in my hand—“and again.”
Sweet Baby Jesus!!! This man was beyond HOT!!! And what makes him absolutely irresistible in his savage and sexual manner, is that he has always been looking (even before getting stranded there) for someone to fill in that hole he has in his life, in his soul.
I hoped I’d find someone to share life with, instead of spending the rest of mine alone.” He paused to take a breath. As he exhaled, he drew me closer. “I was looking for you.” I smiled, raising a brow. “You were looking for me?” He nodded once. “I might not have known your name or what you looked like or where or when I’d meet you, but yes, I was looking for you.”
I had no idea it was possible for such a savage and primal of a man, to have such sweetness, devotion, care, and love in him! I was delightfully surprised, because he had some of the sweetest and loving thoughts on Jane. It was really hard to choose within SO many of his brilliant and swoon worthy quotes. Here are just a few to show you what I’m talking about!
She was my heaven, my saving grace. I’d give anything to make her happy. I’d sacrifice everything to keep her safe. Fuck, I’d give my life just to save her the discomfort of a scratch. She was precious to me in a way that made everything else pale in comparison—including my own life.
“Because you might bring out the savage in me, but you also tame the savage within me.”
Not that she wanted to, but really, who could resist that???!!! Grant was an absolute OTT Swoon-Worthy Alpha, that I will not soon forget! These Kat Austen’s books just keep getting better and better, and I seriously can wait for the next!!! <3 <3 <3
I hadn’t just picked Jane because she was the only female I’d seen in years. I picked her because she was mine. She picked me because I was hers. It had taken us years to find one another, and we’d both suffered a harrowing journey to get here, but we’d both arrived. Jane was the one my soul had mated with lifetimes ago. Hers was the same soul mine would find in whatever lifetimes I had left. Of this, I was certain.
