Awww…. Nobody does ‘single mom/broken hero’ quite like Claudia Connor… No one! Waiting For You proves just that, and is right up there with my all time single mom book, Worth The Fall. Heart pulling emotional, incredibly sweet and sexy and oh so realistic in ALL THE FEELS of its characters, that it transports us right to their world. And what a world it is with the likes of these Walker/McKinney men!!! 

Zack, Nora and little Will completely and utterly stole my heart, both of them thought themselves broken – and maybe they were indeed – but that just made them the perfect match in every way. The three of them couldn’t have been more PERFECT together. A true family.

Who doesn’t love to see the big strong man, that thinks himself broken beyond repair, and with no hope for a future, fall for not only the single mom, but the little one just as much?! Ms. Connor gives us just that in the best of ways, she indeed writes this trope in the most perfect and naturally seeming manner, – case in point, the first of The McKinney Brothers series , Worth the Fall. Matt… Swoon….. – leaving us feeling every single of these characters emotions, hopes and desires. Truly a gift! And getting to see my fav Matt McKinney, and the rest of the Walker/McKinney gang as cameo, it just made it even better! I can’t wait to see the rest of the Walker, specially Luke, fall!! 3.5 ‘ No longer Invisible’ Stars

 

A brand new Lani Lynn Vale series, woohooooo!!! Hissy Fit was much more than Ezra and Raleigh’s captivating story, it’s the introduction of SO MANY enticing characters and stories in this new LLV world of Gun Barrel, Texas!

It really was quite a introduction to this new series, the town beloved ‘hero’, ex-player turned coach falling for the town ‘reject’, the shy and clumsy girl that had always had harbored the biggest of crushes towards him, but he never saw, who was always invisible to him. Until one day she wasn’t anymore…

In typical Lani Lynn Vale fashion, the story sucked me in from minute one, and I kept flipping pages and getting lost in this new and enticing new world that is that of The Southern Gentleman. The always fast paced storyline, the funny – more like hilarious, lol – moments, the emotional scenes and the sexy times all were spot on as usual, there was just a couple of elements, personal pet peeves of mine, that I really wish it weren’t has focused upon as they were, mainly Raleigh’s constant and non stop comments and thoughts of just how much she had crushing (more like obsessed it seemed, lol) over Ezra, speaking of him in a God like quality, and how she never even saw another man for her since they were kids. It was just too much, specially considering how invisible she truly was to him – which hurt most and seemed unbelievable considering the small town and her ever presence in his whole life, from school, to college to them working in the same place for the last five years – and how she had to witness him through all these years going through many women, pointing home just how unnoticeable she was UNTIL recently, when she literally crashes into him. Took her time, but she definitely left a forever lasting impression, lol!

Nonetheless, after Ezra FINALLY noticed her, he was all about her, completely smitten, and it’s always amazing to see the tough ones fall. And like always, I devoured this book and absolutely loved the small town and school setting. Raleigh and Ezra’s interactions with their students were in my opinion beautifully portrait, and I can’t wait to see it again with Flint and Camry in Lord Have Mercy. I’ll be counting down the days until next month!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

“The dark night of the soul? Mind telling me what the hell that was about?” The heavy wooden door echoed through the tight chamber when it slammed against the door jamb.

Bastien remained still across the small sacristy, head bowed as he continued to work quietly, deft fingers sliding thin, golden ropes of sacred fabric through his fingers. “I’d rather know what you think.”

Frustration thickened my blood. “I’m your dark night of the soul?! I think you went a step too far.”

“If that’s what you call a step too far I’d hate to hear what you call indecent.” His body was against mine in an instant, my breasts heaving with shallow irritation and grazing the fabric of his vestments.

This profoundly infuriating man was under my skin like no one else had ever been, and just like a bad tattoo, I’d pay a professional to gouge him out of my soul if I could.

“This, for instance,” he hissed, “is surely a step too close to your precious comfort zone.” His body pressed closer, the deep ridge of his arousal cutting at my hip and causing my throat to crack and turn to dust. “Don’t trick yourself into believing that you know youmore than I do, Tressa.”

I’m trained to be your light in the darkness, Tressa, but all that darkness,” his thumbs worked inside my elbows, swaying me against his body as he grit against my neck, “it weighs on me some days. Seminary doesn’t teach a flesh and blood man how to channel all that darkness into…” he flexed behind his robes, my body humming with pure desire for anything more he had to give, “productive activities.”

I didn’t have a reply for him, the way he swallowed my space and caused my heart to thrum like a hummingbird was distracting enough, but his skin setting flame to mine was beyond unbearable.

“What about you, then?” I summoned my earlier anger. “You fancy yourself some sort of holier than thou saint? Forgive me Father, but I call bullshit.”

Bastien’s eyes held mine, the amusement chasing through his chocolate irises giving me enough satisfaction to live on for days.

I squared my shoulders. “You’re a prisoner to your belief.”

His eyebrows rose, shock striking him before his face settled to that same well-orchestrated calm he reserved for his parishioners. “You can bet I’m a prisoner, but not for the reasons you think.”

His admission caught me off guard, but not more than the next moment did.

His palms caught my face, thumbs trailing down the warmth of my throat before he smashed our lips together.

His kiss defiled as much as it gave life.

5 ‘You’re mine’ Stars

HOT DAMNNNNN!!! There’s ‘hot’ and then there is ‘Tessa Bailey HOT’, aka scorching, relief needed level of steaminess! Add to that already ‘one click quality’, deeply raw emotions that make your heart hurt and soar along with the characters, an insanely addictive banter and one of the most likable characters I’ve have EVER read, and you have the masterpiece, ‘one click must’ HEAT STROKE! Yep, Jamie and Marcus’ story deserves ALL the stars, and became one of my all time fav reads: TOP FAV!!! 

Ms. Bailey was already my queen of dirty talkers, therefore an auto read for me, but this book… WOW, just wow! Even though not being an avid MM reader, I’ve been counting down the days for this book, first because I’ve been dying for these two’s story since the first book of the series, and second because I can not resist TB’s brilliant writing. Already imagining liking even before actually starting, I did not expect this level of LOVE tale, seriously SOULMATE deep – yes, not unusual with Ms. Bailey, but for me, wow, this was taking MM to a whole new level, because I truly felt it was not about sexual gender, but soul coupling! – , that’s how it felt with Jamie and Marcus’ love.

Such different souls and characters, but so, so well match, I could not believe, they both tried to resist, but this level of connection couldn’t be ignored. Both Jamie and Marcus were incredible characters, and of course I adored seeing again other Prince brothers and their match, but Marcus… He stole the show for me. The rawness of his feelings, the conflict of his emotions, the struggle both emotional and physical were so stellarly accounted and exposed, I. FELT. EVERYTHING!!! And loved every word of it! 

I will not say much more, because I truly believe this beautiful  and unique love story should be experienced to the fullest and without much prior unveiling, because the surprise of the events and reactions is half the experience. Heat Stroke, will on doubt leave you hot and bothered – it is a Tessa Bailey’s, after all, lol, so unparalleled hotness -, emotionally touched and on cloud nine with Jamie and Marcus HEA after their bumpy journey. They so deserved this HEA, and the conclusion was spot on! Ms. Bailey outdid herself again, so now I am even more anxious and psyched to have Andrew and Jiya’s story!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

WOW, just WOW! Soaring With Fallon’s uncomplicated and ‘real life’ like, emotionally charged and passionately enrapturing love story transformed this already fantastic small town romance that I loved, in not only my favorite installment of the spin off series, but one of my all time favorite small town romances. Noah and Fallon were extraordinary characters, complex yet so relatable, and all the cameos from the previous books just made this book PERFECT!  <3 <3 <3 <3

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.

During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.

Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.

Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.

Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. 4.5 ‘Racing Emotions’ Stars 

Oh my Lord…. Only Lani Lynn Vale can manage to break my heart, repair it back together and end up making it soar like this! Be prepared for all the FEELS and all the EMOTIONS of Keep It Classy!  

In all seriousness, I never expected this book to have the emotional impact it did in me, specially the heartfelt loss and devastation of a beloved family member, that I will not reveal who to not spoil, that you could FEEL came straight from the author’s own emotions and heartbreak. It was heartbreakingly beautifully written.

The premise on itself couldn’t be more exciting, given my love for a well created ‘enemies to lovers’, and Castiel and Turner – that had me more than giddy after their antics in the previous book – couldn’t have been any more brilliant together. I loved how we still got a bit of their banter in the book, and then how naturally it transformed, specially on how it did, and the turning point where Castiel truly step it up and proved to be the BEST book boyfriend by being there for Turner when she needed him the most, and how their feelings and relationship organically and naturally evolved from there to a combustion point, and some insanely sexy and steamy times. 

Once again, in true LLV’s fashion, we had it ALL in Castiel and Turner’s story! Plus, with all the soul deep emotions in it – showing us not one epic love but two, I’ll just say Turner’s dad tore my heart into pieces, at the same time as made be swoon – just made the already gripping, funny, uber sexy and suspenseful filled storyline into an epic love story that I won’t soon forget and an all time favorite from Ms. Vale. We could feel the soul deep connection she had with the story, and just made it that much more brilliant to us as reader. These Bear Bottom MC’s men really are something else – in the best of ways – and I can not wait to see how the next falls, specially Liner. Counting down the days!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
