Until Sunrise was the absolute PERFECT addition to Aurora Rose Reynolds Happily Ever After Kindle World! Way to capture ARR Alpha and BOOM spirit! WOW!
For those ARR fans, like myself, you may remember Michelle and Luka’s cameo – where he already revealed all his caveman tendencies, lol – scene on Until Ashlyn, with whom Michelle is BFF. I loved that scene in the book, so I’ve been dying to know more about this two, and about their story. Well, I got my wish, and then some, with Until Sunrise, we find all about their BOOM.
Michelle and Luka meet at his restaurant, where Michelle was stood up by her date. No worries, that was the Fate’s way, because BOOM, Luka took a look and her and immediately knew she was his one, so he more than took the other man’s loss and made it his win.
“Why?”
“Because, gorgeous, you’re the best kind of trouble to hit my life in a long time.”
Yeah, a handsome devil like Luka Templeton was way out of my league, but I couldn’t help wishing that he’d be the right kind of wrong for a girl like me.
The chemistry was so intense you could practically feel the sparks flying. Luka was ALL in first that very first look, and touch, and would stop at nothing to make Michelle his. He was willing to take anything or anyone to get what he wanted, her.
“First of all, when the hell do you think I became yours, Luka?” I asked, my rattled voice raising a full octave. “I’m not yours. I’m mine. I mean, I belong to me and me alone.”
“Not anymore,” he asserted blandly, his broad shoulders lifting and falling underneath his expensive grey suit.
“Huh?” I grunted.
“I’m claiming you. In fact, I already claimed you,”
And his ‘hold nothing back’, no barriers, full steam ahead, just made me love him even more. I adored a good OTT Alpha, and Luka… OH boy, did he fit the bill!!!
It was not just he caveman tendencies that make me – and Michelle – fall for him though. Luka completely opened his heart to her, from the very start, to what she made him feel, and to the very future he knew they could have together.
“Everything, Michelle. I want every-fucking-thing from you,” I heard Luka’s deep voice rumble, my keen ears instantly honing in on his unspoken warning. “I won’t settle for less.”
This man was so unreservedly devoted and loving, so deeply enchanted by Michelle, it was nearly impossible for me to choose amongst the countless quotes I highlighted. Seriously, every second word he said, or though about her was pure gold. Luka was the very definition of SWOON WORTHY! Sigh…
The second I laid eyes on her, it felt like a part of me that I hadn’t even realized was missing suddenly locked into place, making me whole. Making me complete.
Michelle Buchanan was mine.
Mine to hold.
Mine to possess.
Mine to love.
But boy, oh boy, was Michelle a tough cookie to crack! The reinforced concrete walls she built around her heart, due to her sad past, were damn near impenetrable! She pushed and pushed, and pushed, but Luka was not a man easily dissuaded, not when it came to his soulmate.
I wouldn’t tolerate anyone hurting the woman I’d fallen for. In the meantime, I was going to collect the damaged pieces of her heart and help her rebuild it into something even stronger and more beautiful.
And that just stole my heart even more! He was such a good sport with her extreme pushing away, and even teased her even more, resulting in some hilariously, and delicious banter. Michelle and Luka’s dynamic was brilliant no matter what they were doing. I enjoyed every second of their back and forth, funny and sexy banter at its finest!
I just hope you’re carrying a pretty big gun. Because that’s the only way you’ll be taking this heart hostage,”
“Baby, you’re gonna love the size of my gun. I promise you its fully locked and loaded. At all times.”
Michelle internal battle, was beautifully portrayed, and we could really feel her conflict, it was too drawn out into to close to the end, and considering the length of their story, it just felt that their true couple time was very reduced. If not for the OTT pushing away from Michelle’s part, and therefore me getting mad at her for it, in poor Luka’s behalf, because he really did EVERYTHING for her, I would have given the book the full five stars. That being said, once she allowed herself – with a bit of a shove from Ashlyn, lol – to let down her guard and really see Luka, there was no way to miss his undying love and devotion.
When I looked in Luka’s eyes, I could see my happily ever after shining there. It was just waiting for me to reach out and seize it.
I’ll wait if you need me to wait. Hell, I’d wait forever if you were the woman waiting for me at the end of the journey.”
Once that happened it’s like the BOOM exploded! It was all the go Luka had been dying to hear, and it unleashed all his already present hot and sexiness to a whole new high! The man, besides being smoking hot, caring and loving, had to top it of the a filthy mouth! Yep, Luka was the whole panty-melting package!
“You gonna let me kiss that pussy ache away, baby? The taste you gave me yesterday was only a tease. It just whet my appetite for more.”
Until Sunrise truly was an amazing story. Sarah O’Rourke really gave us a feel good, super sexy, funny and witty banter filled romance, with just the right amount of emotional and heart touching moments, to make us swoon and awe. I would have loved even more Epilogue, but you know me, I’m a sucker for extended and further on Epi. Luka was the perfect romantic hero, and Michelle was a sassy and strong heroine. Ms. Rourke gave us the perfect complement for Aurora Rose Reynolds’ Until series, where this story could fit right in, still keeping their fantastic voice. Until Sunrise definitely rose to all the expectations! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
