A sick excitement courses through me when Luke picks up his phone and dials the number on the contract to confirm that I’ll take the assignment. It’s almost like the first day of school nerves all over again, only this time around you’re getting paid to seduce your teacher.
If she takes the bait and sleeps with me, she’s the one who failed the test. I’m just the asshole who’s administering it. Unfortunately for her, I’ve never failed. In my time at The Company, I have a success rate of 100%. Yeah, I’m the dick who has successfully ensured that twelve women were divorced and didn’t receive a penny of their husband’s money. “Okay, you’re good to go. They’ll send you the complete file by courier tomorrow, and your training day starts on Monday, Officer Hoyt. You got three days, so suit-up. Or I guess in your case, get those scrubs ready.”
Luke can never miss a chance to bring up a movie reference with that other Ethan guy. I’ve grown so used to them I’m not even sure if they register in my brain anymore. My brain stays with the subject at hand. “Wow, that was fast. We usually have more time to study the target before the meeting. What’s the deal?”
He simply shrugs and gives me an impassive stare. “Time is money, buddy, and this guy, the client, has to be pulling some serious strings for you. Your case and internship at the hospital both start Monday. Damn, talk about good timing. It’s like he was waiting for someone from The Company to graduate medical school to make this happen. Must be one miserable son-of-a-bitch.”
I run a hand over my face. Damn, I almost wonder what the good doctor has done to make her husband want to toss her to the curb. But it’s best left to remain uninvolved. It doesn’t matter what she’s done or not done. It only matters that I do my job.
What a DEBUT! Really, talk about starting with a BANG!!!
J. Derek Teevan had indeed a fantastic beginning for what I’m sure it’s going to be a kickass career in this Erotic romance universe.
Ethan, our main male character has one very unorthodox – and even cringe worthy, for yours truly – side job: luring and sleeping with married women in order for their POS to be able to divorce them and maintain all their fortune. Yep, you read it correctly, Ethan was basically a step or hundred lower than the common gigolo. A handsome, captivating and irresistible one, but still a prostitute.
These women were married and “off limits” and my job was to break through all those boundaries and make them mine, if even only for a moment. It was an excitement that left me the moment my cum did.
Of course, as we well know, the world is not only black and white, and Ethan is well aware of the devastating consequences of what he does, and now that he ended Medical school – the reason for which he entered this business, since he was drowning in debt – and can stomach carrying on destroying women lives.
I wasn’t a bad person, I was just doing this to survive, and once I was hrough medical school, I would be saving lives, not ruining them.
“Well… what’s one more?” The words leave my mouth, and I’m wondering how many lives will I have to save until I can feel some sort of redemption. Will I ever feel that, redemption?
All good intentions flew to hell when one last IRRESISTIBLE, in more ways then one is sent his way, and one look at Samantha, and he knew this target was unlike any other before.
I’ve never felt the way I do towards a woman like this, I’ve never wanted a woman like this before.
Samantha doesn’t remember anymore what meant to be happy. She knows her marriage failed, even with all her effort to regain what she thought they once had – which was never real considering her disgusting cheating pig of a husband – and she has been sinking lower and lower in this immense loneliness and putting on a cold facade for the world around her, so when one of her assigned pediatric ER interns, proves himself attentive, charming, caring and brilliant, both to her and with their little patients and their parents, and their insane chemistry is palpable, lets just say it will take all her strength to resist him. Not that he was aggressive or very actively trying, but it was impossible to deny all the desire, and the emotion that she saw in his eyes.
Thoughts of her are all-consuming, and if I don’t fuck her soon, I’m going to explode.
I will not reveal anymore, because the best in this smutty novella, is the plot development, and the absolutely enticing way in which it unfolds, and how Ethan and Sam’s initial magnetism turns into so much more, and all the sizzling sex scenes in between!
I need to be near her; her presence is intoxicating to me. She’s my drug, and I never want to detox.
I devoured it in one sitting, and I can honestly say that, apart from that detailed sex scene with OW in the prologue, which I found absolutely unnecessary for the plot, given there was no real justification behind it, given there is no trace of OW drama in the remainder of the book – which I loved – and some very minor personal preferences, eXtortion, proved to be an incredibly hot, super sexy and clever smutty read, where a refreshing plot and captivating writing will no doubt bring major success to the author. I love the author’s wife, Tessa Teevan’s, books, and I’m a huge fan of hers, so I will say, that she better watch out (just kidding, lol) because Derek may give her a run for her money, with a debut like this! That is one TALENTED household! Now I have a new author added to my auto-read list and can’t wait to see what delicious read he’ll give us next!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

Derek Teevan is a thirty-year- old kid who just has to make adult decisions sometimes. He married his best friend at age nineteen and they enjoy their quiet but somehow always exciting lives in the burbs of Dayton, Ohio. Derek owes his success to his wife who talked him out of another service and into the Ohio Air National Guard. Through ups and downs, mission changes, and career field changes the Guard has been the springboard to his successful civilian career.
Having just entered his thirties, Derek decided to challenge himself by taking up and falling in love with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Even as he sits here with his newly torn ACL, feeling weird because he’s writing in third person, he wishes he was at his Wednesday BJJ class.
When not injured or at class he enjoys long bike rides with his wife on the paved trails through Dayton and the surrounding cities. And when they’re feeling lazy, they both enjoy taking long drives in their 1965 Mustang Convertible. They also enjoy traveling, a lot of times it’s across the country or globe to go an author signing.
