Dash and Dilyn find themselves stuck in a cabin in a middle of a snowstorm, and took a chance, and opened up to one another, like they had never done before in their lives, because from the very first look they felt the connection, and the deep seated feeling that they could trust, that they could rely on each other.

“You know me.  It doesn’t always take years to get to know someone. Sometimes you get a feel for people within minutes.  And you know me. Trust me, you know me.”

They both had childhood hurts and traumas that left them scars, so it was like this the recognition of a kindle souls, and for two people who had never truly loved before, this night may just have changed not only their view on the world, but their entire future. They never really stood a chance! LOL!

“So there will always be something more important than people.”
“Yes. Until there’s not. Until someone walks away with my heart.”
“How will you know? How can you be so sure you’ve never been in love?”
His answer is spoken in a hushed tone that rasps across my nerves like crushed velvet. “Because she’ll be my high.  That’s how I’ll know.”

I’ve never—never, ever—reacted to a man this way. So profoundly. So wildly.

And Dash for all of his daredevil, playboy persona sure did surprise me, because his feelings where so clear, and his words deeply touching and meaningful. We could feel that deep down he knew that he had found in Dilyn what he himself never knew that he was looking for, but clearly craved: true love.

I think real love doesn’t ever go away. You can’t turn it off, outrun it, or drink it away.

That’s the kind of love I’ll stop skiing for.  The kind that’s worth everything.  It’s all or nothing for me.  And when I find my ‘all’, I’ll give her everything.”

But this man isn’t made only of tender moments and sweet words, because he is every bit of panty-melting manliness that Dilyn thought she was prepared for, but even in that he was so much more, because not even her strength and sassiness were enough to fight a one on one contact with Dash. Specially considering the way he truly wanted to contact with her… Because OMG, was that man HOT!!! 

“I won’t stop until you come all over me. I want to feel everything you’ve got dripping between us.”

Michelle Leighton really gave us the perfect little holiday treat, with all her usual and incredible writing and amazing character development but in a short and insta-love setting that left me just as hooked as her full length novels. You guys know what a good insta-love whore I am, so let me tell you this one was just fantastic!!! So, please, Michelle, bring on more treats like Dash and Dilyn!!! He may have given Dilyn Christmas back, but you sure brought us Christmas! Merry Christmas to everyone! <3 <3 <3 <3 

We only spent a few hours together, but my heart made the decision that we were meant for each other.
