I knew going in that this would be good going by what we knew from these guys from Until Mayhem, well, I can now say it surpassed all my wildest expectations, after knowing Hollywood my obsession just got worse, I’m now 100% Mayhem addicted. Best Book Boyfriend, right here! Layla Frost just knows the perfect way to make us mesmerised with her male leads, it’s a writing talent, if I’ve ever seen one!

What an EPIC start for this new LLV series! Wake and Dutch are true soulmates, brought together by the most unusual of first meetings! Original, intriguing, steamy, romantic, and oh so addictive, this book, had it all, and I couldn’t get enough of it!

Nobody Cares Unless You’re Pretty is a fantastic beginning for this Gator Bait MC series, with an unique premise, with both Wake and Dutch fighting for justice in this unfair world, their own brand of justice, that is. 

We met Wake in the last book of the last book of the Battle Crows MC, as Dory’s ex-con neighbour, and I just knew I was going to love, and here it is, I ADORE him, specially how he fights for the ones he loves. Dutch, that we also met in Never Trust The Living, is such a kick@ss character. Her love for her job, and devotion for her patients, made my heart swell, and when meeting with Wake, wow, talk about chemistry!

This book sucked me right in front the get go, and didn’t let go until the very end: it had it ALL. Wake and Dutch’s story not only was sweet, hilarious, sexy and thrilling, but gave us a peek over the rest of the gang, who I’m already anxiously awaiting to see more of!

5 ‘Under Your Spell’ Stars

Swoon, swoon and SWOON!!! Kristen Proby rocked my world with this story! The unique premise, the extraordinary world setting, the complex and intriguing characters… WOW! Hallows End and The Curse Of The Blood Moon series is now a staples on my top PNR reads!

I will not spoil anything more than it’s revealed in the blurb, but this storyline is INCREDIBLE! From the moment Jonas and Lucy cross paths, we know, we FEEL that they are meant to be, my absolute fav trope on paranormal romance – fated soulmates -,  so from the very beginning I was beyond emerged in this fantastic tale. So much so I devoured it in one seating.

Lucy is now my all time favourite witch, and as a huge PNR fan, that’s saying something, but like I said before, she and Jonas completely stole my heart! Strong, fierce, independent and oh so loving, this Salem native is impossible not to captivate us.  And when we get to see her together with her two cousins, completing the trio, I’d say it one of the most fantastic bounding I’ve ever read.

I can honestly say there is nothing I haven’t loved about this book, no wonder it when straight to my top favourite reads EVER! Whimsical, sexy, heartwarming and addictive, Hallows End is a must read for all PNR/Supernatural Romance lovers!!! PER.FEC.TION!!! Yep, that’s right, Wild Wicked Obsession is pure contemporary romance PERFECTION!! Brilliant from start to finish, Lars and Joss are match so exquisitely made, that I can honestly say, is now one of my TOP OTP!!! 

Being a huge fan of the Hyde gang I knew I was going to love this one, but damn, Ms. Frost surpassed ALL my expectations, I was in Alpha male HEAVEN! Not only Lars stood out in my best book boyfriends’ list, but wow, Joss was up there in my fav heroines, with her strength, sass and spine of steel, perfect match indeed.

Masculine and feminine.

Hard and soft.

Outright strong and deceptively resilient.

Lars dominated the kiss. Owned it. 
Owned me.

My OTT Alpha lover heart truly was bursting with happiness with this man, his jealous, possessive, über protective, and OBSESSED streak was as sexy as the man himself. Some may say too OTT, I say hell yes, give me all that brand of romance! Just dark enough to leave me salivating for more.

Some might say that was overprotective. Borderline codependent. Maybe even dysfunctional.

And all that awesome and entertaining cast of characters from the Hyde/Sweets You Rock and company just kept me entertained, engaged, and wanting allllllllll their stories, that we don’t know yet, Layla Frost masterful story telling is THAT addictive. Sweet, romantic, steamy and with just the right amount of suspense – I did not see that coming, btw! – Sweet Wicked Obsession is now one of my TOP reads of 2022, and definitely my winner in contemporary/suspense romance so far! My, oh my… Talk about rendering me speechless… What may I say, other than One Night With The Duke will NEVER be enough! Mind blowingly enrapturing, passionate and oh so utterly engaging, that I could not read it in all but one sitting!

Ms. Malpas’ first dip into one of my favourite genres, Historical Romance, was as massive success as her intense contemporary romances. I should not be surprised, given her writing is one of the most addictive I’ve had the pleasure of reading – or should I say, devouring – but the way that Eliza and her Duke stole my heart in a blink of an eye, is no joking matter.

He has my heart and I am terrified I will never get it back.

He means freedom. Happiness. Light.

Eliza Melrose, and her quick wit and take no prisoners manner, may have proved tough to live with in her time, but I delighted in every moment, every scheme her curiosity led her too, a woman after my own heart. And Duke Winters…*dreamy sigh* How could one resist this tantalising, mysterious, gorgeous and complicated man?! One simply can not I tell you! A true JEM kind of broken Alpha, with a capital A, Johnny Winters was the true ‘handsome devil’, but the more we know, and FALL, for him, the more his complexity and sexual magnetism captivate us. His unraveling, his intensity, just made him that more enticing, and by the end, wow, my heart didn’t stand a chance!

Stunningly magical! Lighthouse Way is the proof of not only Ms. Proby’s genius contemporary romance writing, but also the addictive and extraordinary enchantment of small town romance! I loved, loved, LOVED everything about this book, from it’s intriguing and relatable characters, the magic of the Huckleberry Bay setting, the hint of supernatural, yep, it all hit the right spot of this romance lover here!

Luna – can we take a second to gush about KP’s talent for names and their meanings?!Wow! – and Wolfe were the perfect couple to not only introduce us to this world, and this community, but this brand new series, because not only was their story unique, intriguing and so soul warming, it gave us the change to meet every one of this small town character’s that evidently have a life of their own, and I can’t wait to find out every single one of this pairings, specially the other two musketeers, Sarah (and Tanner) and June (and Apollo).

The captivating and irresistible setting, a couple that stole my heart, specially Luna that was truly a guiding light – pun intended – with her serene and loving nature, for this group, and Wolfe with all his caring and Alpha personality, gifting us with perfect coupling, and its romantic and incredibly sexy journey, this was a fresh, and other-wordly beginning of a hugely promising series, that I’m already begging for the next story! I want to live in Huckleberry Bay too!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

5  ‘What’s In It For Me’ Stars

 

EXCEPTIONAL! K. Bromberg never seizes to amaze me, Last Resort is the literal proof of that. Sutton and Callahan’s story went far and beyond all my expectations: scorching HOT first meeting, deliciously naughty banter, complex,  and intense and so beautifully flawed characters, that capture our hearts from the very first page!

I devoured this baby not only once, but TWICE – once ebook and another audiobook -, and can attest that the audio, and its narrators do such a brilliant job with these two that it was even more enrapturing as the written version, it sucked me right in, and I never wanted to let go. Ms. Bromberg has such a gift for words, and Last Resort just shows that, with how much of HEART and SOUL it’s present in every scene. There aren’t enough words to express what a thrill it is to experience this first hand, one must read it to find out, believe me.

A interesting premise couple with a stunning back drop, that not only introduce us to an amazing trio of sexy and interesting brothers, but is also the perfect tease to have us begging for the next book, even though we have just been given this flawless HEA. 5 ‘Worth It’ Stars

 

Well, hot d@mn… Tantalizingly romantic, passionate and heartwarming, The Secret brought me back to my very first Kristen Proby love, Come Away With Me, and it had nothing – okay, maybe a little, lol – to do with Liv’s parents per se, though we see plenty of them *happy sigh*, and all with to do with The Secret’s vibe of the original and classic KP brand of sweet and sexy romance.

All that warm fuzzies I felt while discovering Ms. Proby’s brilliant writing, many years ago, I felt in this one, with the added embellishment of an even more refined and expressive story telling. Olivia and Vaughn’s tale is their own, 100%, but I loved the parallel set between theirs, and her parents’ romance, and its hardships, so that her parents could advice and show their wisdom. And talking about wisdom, wow, Vaughn surprised and went straight up there to the top book boyfriends, with his words and actions. Swoon fest all the way! Of course adored,  not only all of that, but my beloved ever present family dynamic, Montgomery staple of friendship and support. How can you not love this gang?! 

The Secret truly surpassed all my expectation, and I couldn’t be happier about it, as it set the perfect tone for this Spin off series. Single In Seattle, with Liv and Vaughn’s fantastic and captivating love story, went straight to my all time favorites, so much so I’m already dying to see which Montgomery will fall next! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 

No one’s ever been this important. 

This damn vital. 

And she’s all mine.

5 ‘The Cards’ Stars

 

EX…TRAOR…DI…NARY!!! Tantalizingly enrapturing, cleverly orchestrated, and so heartbreakingly emotional and real, A Treacherous Trade surpassed all my wildest expectations! 

For more than two years I’ve been dying for more of, not only Fiona, but Croft, The Hammer and The Blade, and well, all my prayers were answered because more – so much more! – we got, and still, after that surprisingly and maddening ‘ending’ I’m left BEGGING for the next, I NEED to know who was Fiona’s choice. My romantic heart can’t take the added suspense, and Ms. Byrne sure knows how to tease us!!!

The way the story’s mystery unveils, all its cards are laid, and how they intertwined  with not only the Ripper storyline, but also Fiona’s personal and intimate tale, are done so exquisitely well that I was not only fully immersed into it, but felt like I was LIVING it along with Fiona. In this the superb audiobook also factored in, no doubt, due to it’s brilliant narration. Kerrigan Byrne set the premise so exquisitely in Business of Blood with its complex and intriguing characters, that in Treacherous Trade I felt the fluidity of the mysteries as one, and for that I warn that though possible to understand and enjoy the books individually, for the full Mahoney experience, one should read them together. Trust me, and heed my warning, you will be left wanting even more, just like I am. I DESPERATELY need more Fiona and all her ‘wolves’!
